May 14, 2018 marked the 70th birthday of Israel.
Against all odds and much opposition, the nation of Israel has survived—a testament to God’s covenant with His people and the prophetic truth of His Word. You and I are seeing Biblical prophecies about Israel fulfilled daily—and our ongoing prayers are the key to God’s future plans for this nation. Will you step into that vital intercessory role?
Eyewitnesses to a Miracle
Derek Prince and his first wife, Lydia, were living in Palestine when Israel became a nation, exactly as Isaiah 66:8 had predicted: “Who has ever heard of such a thing? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment?” They saw this prophetic word fulfilled right before their very eyes, living and praying in Jerusalem when it took place.
As Jews began to return to the promised land, Derek and Lydia continued their focus on the pivotal role Israel plays in God’s plans. In the early 1990s, Derek and Ruth, his second wife after Lydia died, made their permanent home in Jerusalem. From there, they travelled all around the world, teaching from Scripture about the significance of the land of Israel and the Jewish people.
Why is Derek’s teaching on Israel so important?
Early in his ministry, Derek discovered how uninformed most Christians are concerning the Bible’s focus on Israel and the Jews. This is still true today. As Derek himself said, “To pray effectively for Israel and the Jews, we need to be informed about them.”
As a way of providing the truth Christians need to pray properly, we want to make 500,000 copies of Derek’s helpful booklet—Why Israel?—available in various languages. (see over)
This booklet includes the events that have to take place before the Lord returns, the important truths about these events, and God’s destiny for this nation.
Placing Why Israel? in the hands of praying Christians around the world is a major task. But why is it so vital? Derek says it best in his booklet: “Before the Lord returns, certain events have to take place. The Jewish people have to be re-established in Jerusalem and in the land. Why? Because the Lord is not coming back until they are. Then, there has to be a supernatural revelation of Jesus which will turn the hearts of the Jewish people to Himself.”
Those statements by Derek Prince are major points which ought to be at the top of every prayer list for Christians worldwide. How can that happen if they don’t even know about these important truths?
One remedy for this lack of information is the distribution of Derek’s helpful booklet. Frankly, we are hoping that the Why Israel? booklet will go viral. Will you help us to make that happen?
Here are some simple steps:
Give. A gift of $40 will pay for 40 booklets and $100 will pay for 100 booklets to be produced and distributed in many parts of the globe
Get. Order a quantity of free copies of Why Israel? for yourself and your family. (Please contact our DPM office for your Why Israel? request, phone: 03 366 4443 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org)
Share. Give as many copies as you are able to Christian friends, church members— anyone you know who will take the responsibility to pray
Derek Prince always taught that Christians need to do something practical to show their love for God’s people, the Jews.
What could be more loving than praying for the Jewish people to enter into all that God has destined for them, and to encourage others to pray in that same fashion? Will you make that happen by contributing generously to this cause?
We want to thank you in advance for your financial gift. Thank you as well for your willingness to distribute the copies of the Why Israel? booklet you order to your friends, colleagues, and family members.
Yours in Christ’s service,
The Worldwide Staff of Derek Prince Ministries
