Dear Friend,

"Nguyen Hau from Da Nang city in Vietnam had bitterness, hurts and anger for years and he found these restrained his spiritual growth and how God was working in his everyday life....until he was introduced to Derek Prince's teachings.  Through the Word of God, chains have been broken and heaviness in his life has disappeared.  He is learning to love, forgive, to accept others and to be grateful to God. The Self Study Bible Course that he received from our Outreach Director is a huge blessing for his wife and family and he is now teaching a home group using this material."

One of our coordinators writes:

“We held a very successful training seminar for pastors and local leaders in the Quang Ngai province, focusing on Derek’s teaching How to Pass from Curse to Blessing.  Many of the attendees travelled from very remote areas by bus and motorcycle to attend the seminar and were incredibly blessed, touched by the power of God and set free from curses by applying the amazing truths in God’s Word. This was the first time they had heard teaching on this topic.  Each attendee was also gifted a copy of Derek’s books; How to Pass from Curse to Blessing, Spiritual Warfare and God’s Plan for Your Money.  Several weeks later, we also held another seminar using Derek’s teaching from God’s Medicine Bottle, which was especially important given the Coronavirus situation in this country, with schools, churches and other public places being closed.  Thank you for supporting and praying for us.”

In 2016 DPM began this new work in Vietnam with our two wonderful coordinators based in Da-nang (central Vietnam) and Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon - in the south).  Christian ministry in this communist nation is difficult and dangerous, but in spite of police surveillance and a visit by the police to one of our coordinators, this significant DPM work progresses well and we would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all who have partnered with us.

Our two coordinators (both pastors of growing churches) travel throughout Vietnam to hold teaching seminars for pastors and Christian leaders using Derek’s teaching, and these events are proving very successful.

Our second coordinator also held seminars in Hanoi (the capital of Vietnam) and in Quang Ngai province for around 50 pastors, from different churches, where they used Derek’s teaching on Spiritual Warfare and Faith to Live By.

Along with these seminars, distribution of  Derek’s books to believers is via our Vietnamese website (vi.dpmvietnam.org) which contains Teaching Letters, eBooks and proclamation cards.  Derek’s two-minute audio devotionals, A Word from the Word, are currently being voiced and recorded for uploading to the website.

OUR GOAL FOR 2020:  To take advantage of the amazing open door we currently have, our goal this year is to continue with the translation of Derek’s most important teachings into Vietnamese which will then be freely available on the DPM-Vietnam website and also printed for distribution at seminars and in churches.  Our DPM team have made excellent progress in the past few years, but there are many titles such as Entering the Presence of God; You Matter to God; You Shall Receive Power and What’s So Important About the Cross? which are yet to be translated and printed.  These four books, along with needed reprints of others, will cost in the vicinity of NZ$24,000.  We also plan to continue holding teaching seminars for pastors and leaders this year, requiring an additional $6,500.

The need right now to help meet the spiritual hunger in this nation is URGENT and the doors of opportunity have opened up, so could you please help us today to provide Derek’s teaching of God’s Word to our brothers and sisters in the growing church in Vietnam.

Many thanks for partnering with us.
