THE GOD OF HOPE


The God of hope fills me now with all joy and peace as I trust in Him, so that I will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.1

I have fled to you for refuge, so I might have a strong consolation to lay hold upon the hope set before me. This hope I have as an anchor of the soul, which is both sure and stedfast.2

For faith is the substance of the things
I hope for.3

I am confident of this, that You, who began a good work in me, will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.4

For your mercies never fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfullness. I say to myself: The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait on Him.5
